Many people are not even aware when they are suffering from any of these diseases. Just because they are not fatal people think they should be taken lightly. However, They need proper medical attention.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is commonly known as ADHD. People with ADHD are known for having impulsive behavior and they have trouble following routine instructions. They cannot focus on the same task for a long time. Children as well as adults can suffer from ADHD. It is not genetic and there is no telling at what age can one develop this disorder. There are three types of ADHD patients. The first type is those who are inattentive, the second are those who are hyperactive and the third are those who are inattentive and hyperactive. It can be caused due to medical and environmental factors. Caffeine intake can easily cause anxiety and trigger panic attacks. People suffering from this disorder should regularly check in with their doctor and have medicines like Xanax, Valium, Rivotril etc. apart from medications, anxiety can be reduced by psychotherapy and having a well balanced diet, following a healthy sleeping schedule, meditating and exercising daily. Smoking, drinking alcohol or any such addiction should be stopped immediately. anxious people should definitely check in with their therapist regularly.
Insomnia is yet another disorder that affects your sleep. It causes difficulty in sleeping. It is caused by stress and extreme trauma. Symptoms of insomnia include sleepiness during the day, lack of motivation, and difficulty concentrating. It can make you very irritable. If a person cannot sleep for 1 to 2 nights it means they have acute insomnia but if a person has more than 3 sleepless nights in a row that means they are suffering from chronic insomnia. Heavy medication might be needed to cure chronic insomnia. A doctor should be contacted to treat insomnia. If you try to get rid of it on your own using sleeping pills like Ativan, Restoril, Etizolam. it might have side effects and can harm you in the longer run. Insomnia can also increase the risk of depression and anxiety. Avoid caffeine and do not get in bed with a mobile phone or tablet. You also need to follow a rigid sleeping routine to prevent insomnia.
It is a common misconception that losing weight necessarily means a good thing. Whereas, the truth could not have been farther from it. Losing weight by having a balanced diet and exercising is healthy but many people have a weight loss disorder. Weight loss disorder occurs due to loss of body fat, muscle mass, or fluid intake. It can be a result of medications taken. Infections, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, depression, dental issues, tuberculosis, cancer treatments, and diabetes can cause severe weight loss. Symptoms of weight loss include lack of appetite, dizziness, weakness, and fatigue. If you have lost more than 5 percent of your weight in a period of six months to a year then it is classified as unhealthy weight loss. It is important to contact a doctor if you observe an unhealthy weight loss. That is the weight which you have lost without making healthy changes in your diet and lifestyle. It can be a symptom of some serious illness and can have a major impact on your health. Stress is another factor that greatly affects your weight. It depends on person to person. You can gain an unhealthy amount of weight because of stress and even lose an unhealthy amount of weight due to stress.
